Your blog can lead to increase the wine sales but its not vice versa.affinitycreativehttp://affinitycreative.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677155356733403823.post-4397817263787911432014-02-17T09:43:29.521-07:002014-02-17T09:43:29.521-07:00Yes, this should be the objective of any journalis...Yes, this should be the objective of any journalists and is engrained the the journalist ethos and why their is such a separation in editorial and advertising departments in traditional media. I think Joe's audience for this article is really the wine business, not the wine consumers and this is a hot topic in the industry. Should wineries invest in outreach to bloggers? The answer is complex and I think Joe and just touching on that topic. I hope that you will continue to share your love of wine and find joy in it again!kschlachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12810309689429676303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677155356733403823.post-58214798280625129422014-02-12T15:29:42.763-07:002014-02-12T15:29:42.763-07:00I read Joe's blog and found it rather self ser...I read Joe's blog and found it rather self serving. But that's not a fault, every blog is self serving. The fault lay in the inference that only a handful of blogs are worthy of a serving credible opinions upon which readers will make a purchase decision. I disagree.

But I wholeheartedly agree with your statement:

"Turning casual wine drinkers (or even non-wine drinkers) into wine enthusiasts (or further exciting enthusiasts) by sharing a love and a passion for wine should be the value proposition of wine blogs."

That's why I write my blog -- and I recently wrote a post that demonstrates how my interest in wine influenced my sister in a dramatic way.

http://www.comeforthewine.com/2014/02/the-enduring-bonds-of-wine-and-love.htmlMarcy Gordonhttp://www.comeforthewine.com/noreply@blogger.com
